Holyyyyyy crap. This took me so long. I really wish it hadn't, but that's real life for ya. I've been working full-time during the summer at an amusement park....I was not amused, and it sucks ass. Worked 7-9 hrs a day, 5 days a week. Ugh. So I've barely been able to get any drawing or guitar playing in. Oh well, such is life.
So, you should all know who this man is. If not, where have you been?
I started this drawing right after seeing the Harry Potter movie, for the first time I loved it, and I was totally moved by Michael Gambon's performance as Dumbledore. He brought tears to my eyes many times during that film. Especially the scene in the cave when he battles the inferi, he looked magnificent with his last burst of strength. Gah! I could go on forever.
Anywho, hope you all enjoy this drawing, because despite the horror of actually doing all the detail, I really like this one

Time:....very, very long. Materials: graphite pencils on bristol Ref: An amazing poster from the film. Original images belong to WB, not mine, yadda yadda yadda, u get the gist. I wouldn't be working as a carny if I did own any of the original shit

Remember when you were young, You shone like the sun. Shine on you crazy diamond. Now there's a look in your eyes, Like black holes in the sky. Shine on you crazy diamond. You were caught on the crossfire Of childhood and stardom, Blown on the steel breeze. Come on you target for faraway laughter, Come on you stranger, you legend, you martyr, and shine!
You reached for the secret too soon, You cried for the moon. Shine on you crazy diamond. Threatened by shadows at night, And exposed in the light. Shine on you crazy diamond. Well you wore out your welcome With random precision, Rode on the steel breeze. Come on you raver, you seer of visions, Come on you painter, you piper, you prisoner, and shine!
Nobody knows where you are, How near or how far. Shine on you crazy diamond. Pile on many more layers And I'll be joining you there. Shine on you crazy diamond. And we'll bask in the shadow Of yesterday's triumph, And sail on the steel breeze. Come on you boy child, You winner and loser, Come on you miner for truth and delusion, and shine!
- Shine on You Crazy Diamond by Pink Floyd
I listened to this song non-stop while drawing this
Well, I always say that it's useless to comment godlike art. But well, here... Really amazing job! Maybe the hair could use some additional touch but either way, it is outstanding!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
